In stamp collecting, a want list is simply a list of postage stamps that the collector is seeking to acquire. They are the major tool by which collectors organize the construction of a collection, and stamp dealers frequently advertise to collectors to "send us your want lists".
Since most major countries have by now issued from 1,000 to 6,000 types of stamps, it usually difficult for even a single-country collector to remember what is still missing from a collection. Still, most stamps are cheap, and collectors frequently get started by acquiring one or more existing collections, which will include most of the common stamps. To maintain a want list is a great job itself, and for that reason I have created the program Stamp Collectors Wantlist.  It is a EDB program that runs on pc's with Windows XP og Windows Vista.  The program can create a want list in a moment, and you have the possibility to add extra numbers and mark the numbers that you already may have in your stamp collection. 
Once a year a new stamp catalog will be issued, with all the new stamps and their numbers.  When it happends, the only thing you have to do, is to go into the program, point on the country area, and ask the program to add new numbers. 
Next you can just printout a new wantlist for the concerned country. That's it!
During the year, when you receive new stamps, just go into the program and mark the catalog numbers.
Next when you are done, just ask the program to print a new and updated wantlist.  That's it!
You have the possibility to create as many collecting areas as you like.  They will be handled by Stamp Collectors Wantlist.

The wantlist can be printed on paper so you can send og fax it to your stamp collector friends.  You also can save your wantlist as a text file and then email i to your friends.
